Larry was born March 8 1949 (now you know) in Oroville, California. His parents moved the family to Washington state when he was about 5 or so.
He graduated from Battle Ground high school in 1967 and was immediately invited to go visit a foreign country (Vietnam) all expenses paid by the US Navy.
After His stint in the Navy He stayed in San Diego, California and joined in with the hippie movement as he was already doing drugs and alcohol to the max. After a while Larry began to deal drugs on the west coast and other not so exotic places in the U.S.
After several years of doing this lifestyle He began become more and more unsatisfied with life, and tho He had what so many thought they would want in life, no matter how He tried HE JUST COULD NOT FILL UP THE EMPTY PLACE INSIDE (that only GOD could fill).
Early in 1972 the HOLY SPIRIT cornered Larry on the beach while He had become fascinated with watching sunsets (the only peace and quiet He could find). During one of the 70 or so sunsets Larry had watched (mostly in a row) a voice from inside said; WHY DO YOU COME HERE EVERY EVENING AND WATCH THE SUNSET.
Then after Larry had answered all of the easy questions, one more question came…WHO MADE THE SUNSET!!!!!
WOW this one took many more sunsets, but finally after much thought and meditation and knowing full well that man could have never made it…He said for the first time in his life….well; GOD MUST HAVE MADE THE SUNSET.
One thing led to another and in early January 1972 Larry prayed a simple prayer and ask Jesus (if their was one) to come into his heart and life.
He would later say that at that very moment he felt a million pounds of weight being lifted from him, and it would be the experience that would change his world FOREVER.

me on the left ha
After the first couple of years of life in the building (church) He new that there had to be more to this than just sitting in a PEW and watching mostly ONE man do everything. As He saw missionary’s that would come thru from time to time it always got His attention.
In 1973 He went on his first mission trip for 30 days to Mexico, was then home for 30 days over Christmas and then on Jan 13th 1974 left for a 30 day trip to India. It was in India that He new that he wanted to help people in other lands who had so little when He had so much.
After the India trip Larry got married and had 3 wonderful children 2 girls Rachel and Leah and a son Pete, and thus began the life of a family man. Raising the family was great and GOD was teaching Larry many wonderful things about the Kingdom of GOD.
Larry new that GOD had called Him in India to travel to many lands and many people but now 18 years had passed and He had gone NO WHERE.
Then on Oct-2-1994 Larry’s only brother Dan went home to be with the lord after a massive heart attack, he was 52 years old. This would change Larry’s life forever, as the HOLY SPIRIT said to Him later that night; IF YOU ARE EVER GOING TO DO WHAT I HAVE CALLED YOU TO DO.….NOW WOULD BE THE TIME…….
By 1995 Larry quit His job at that time which was driving semi-truck, was divorced by 1996, and had been to India, and Russia by then. The next 16 years would see travel to Australia, China, Thailand (21 times), Haiti, Dominican republic, Israel, Africa, and many other country’s as Larry just WENT FOR IT.
It was also in those early times of…. COULD I REALLY DO THIS.…that the HOLY SPIRIT told Larry to read ACTS 29 TODAY. Finally Larry stepped out in FAITH (which means IT IS POSSIBLE, but it might not be easy) and got His passport and ticket and STARTED OUT.
Now the rest is history, and its not over yet, Larry still travels and helps people wherever and however he can.
He is remarried for 16 years and counting and does not have a house since 2007 just travels as the SPIRIT leads, His heart is to help people young or old, bible school or not, just everyday people who want to fulfill the call of GOD in their lifetime and actually do it….INSTEAD OF SPENDING A LIFETIME…...JUST TALKING ...ABOUT IT.
Larry is taking time to blog, coach, encourage and mentor people in taking those first steps, next steps, or just helping them along in whatever it is that He might be able to help with.
I am now coaching some people and am available for that by e-mail Larryjetbeck@Gmail.com
Thanks for your time and interest in Larry and ACTS 29 TODAY (now its your turn).

Lynn:
Thanks for the encouragement, this last year has been a real challenge and continues to be. I believe HIM to be faithful who promised.
Much transitioning and repositioning for me and I think many others also, but am starting to get some direction for the next season and will be writing and posting more soon.
I am very excited about this next move of GOD as the real church (the people not the building) will begin to come into focus, we cant put new wine into old wine skins so it wont be so much about trying to change the old system of Unorganized, divided, traditional and basically dead Christianity….BUT a new fresh wave of GODS blueprint as it was in the 1st church.
So it wont look anything like it has been for the last many years (how refreshing is that) and the results of this new way for us to BE THE CHURCH will result in same results as the early church mainly because it will be GOD approved instead of just the traditions of man…which have produced the mess we see around us today.
So am very excited for this truth to be manifested ( become visible) as it will unleash the body of Christ upon the earth instead of it being locked up as it were in BUILDINGS.
God is also bringing me some like minded believers to connect with, so even tho it has been some of the hardest times recently I WILL FEAR NO EVIL, AND I SHALL DWELL IN THE HOUSE OF THE LORD FOREVER.
Now THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR SENSITIVITY TO THE HOLY SPIRIT, I don’t even know you in person but by the SPIRIT you new to send me an encouraging word, BLESS YOU, BLESS YOU, BLESS YOU.
Many people I know personally have not even contacted me to find out why I have gone off the radar for so long….because of BEING BUSY. We are way to busy for our own good and especially for the good of others.
Anyway bless you my dear sister for your concern it means everything to me and hope to meet you and your family one day as I travel a lot.

Larry here is a wonderful exortation from a brother of Christ’s precious remnant, that the Lord is raising up in this hour may you be encouraged and blessed.
A Church on Fire.
A Church on fire for God is not the inventions of man, not something of the flesh, nor the mere moving of the emotions by music or persuasive speech. No. Rather, it is a group of believers who have been touched by God, marked by the Spirit, experienced the power of the cross of Christ, suffer for the name of Christ, grow in holiness, live a sacrificial life of love for all people, labor in prayer and understand their utter helplessness and depravity if it were not for the grace of Jesus Christ. They are the Church. The true Church. The body submitting to the headship of Jesus Christ. They desire nothing else but to see God glorified, the Christ lifted on high and the Spirit obeyed. They are the Church and they are set on fire only by God Himself. They do not need to create false/strange fires. They do not need to be entertained, comforted, attracted, nor given false promises to come to a building once or twice a week. They do not need to hold their Bibles in the air and declare their supposed faithfulness to the Word of God and then deny most of what it says. They do not blame Satan for their own sinfulness. They don’t follow a mere man because of His looks and speaking abilities. They certainly do not promote themselves nor the flesh as a moral avenue to seek the comforting of the soul. They call sin what it is, sin. They do not stand on a street corner proclaiming a message of wrath and condemnation yet all while hating the people they talking to and failing to live godly themselves. Although they are not perfect, they seek two common goals: The first and foremost, The Bridegroom, King Jesus, and the second, the killing of their own sin. They are a Church, a group of people, set on fire for God.

exactly, thank you and look forward to these times and the gathering of this true church to which I am entirely committed. If you will send me your address I will send you 3 little mini books I wrote that will give you more of an idea of who I am. One is my testimony and a great faith builder for people that are believing GOD for something especially their family’s its called BUT HIS MOTHER BELIEVES HE IS…..the other one is LAUNCHING OUT INTO THE DEEP about my experience with the HOLY SPIRIT and praying in tongues for 8+ hours a day for 2 years…..and the last one is LIFE AFTER YOUR LAST EXCUSE encouraging people to do what GOD has called them to do. These are free and I will send them to you for free and I have plenty so if you like any of them and want more I will gladly send you some more they have been a blessing and encouragement to many. Thanks again for you sensitivity to the Spirit. Also I am praying about doing a documentary film about this whole thing of the church BUILDING OR PEOPLE and all it en tales I want nothing more than to see the body set free from the traditions of man. blessings
And remember, DOING NOTHING…IS NOT AN OPTION!

Larry,
I believe in the vision the Lord has given to you. I am anxious to learn more about “being the church” and not just going to church. Speaking for those of us who have gone to various church buildings for many years, “every year or several times a year, or every week, the pastors talk about the tithe offerings and why we should give the full tithe.” Only one or two pastors I have sat up under, have talked about the new testament not being clear about “new covenant” tithing as being part of God’s plan. Why pastors don’t talk more about the way of the “early church” how they went from house to house having meetings, and how that church grew so fast, always troubles me when I think about how far away we’ve gotten from our “First Love” with Jesus. In view of your vision, Larry, I realize that I’m certainly not the first Christian in recent years who has longed for the manifestation of the “early church” meeting style to take place in my day. Worshipping the Lord, with or without accompaniment is making it “personal”. Back in 1981, when I went to church at Evangel Foursquare Church, in Roanoke, VA, the worship leader always told us when we were worshipping God to “Make it personal.” That is when I got my first inkling of an idea that I was the church, not the building. It has been really difficult the last few years though, to find churches, whose worship leaders do that anymore. I don’t think I have heard a worship leader tell the church in the past 15 years or more, “Make it personal”. If we truly are the church, and we are, then let’s make it “personal”.
I appreciate your blog and what you are doing to minister to people, “real people”. Thank you for obeying God. Continue to find favor with those you are teaching and wherever else, God leads you. You are truly blessed! May God our Father, continue to bless you mightily, in annointings for prayer, and touching people’s lives. In Jesus name, Amen.
Thanks Linda:
Am so glad you are getting something out of all this, and the Spirit will lead his true church (the people) into all the truth. I believe we will get on with true church (the people not the building) and it is so exciting to me that people are beginning to get the picture that the CHURCH (THE PEOPLE OF GOD) HAVE AND ARE LEAVING THE BUILDING (and the spectator sport mentality) TO BE THE CHURCH 24/7 365 days a year. And build people not buildings (not to mention how Biblical it is and most of what goes on inside of it is)
STAY THIRSTY MY FRIEND….AND SHINE ON.
