MARK 4:13 Then He said to them, “Do you not understand this parable?

WAIT WHAT?

How will you understand and grasp the meaning of all the parables?

14 The sower sows the word [of God, the good news regarding the way of salvation]. 15 These [in the first group] are the ones along the road where the word is sown; but when they hear,

Satan immediately comes and takes away the word which has been sown in them.

16 In a similar way these [in the second group] are the ones on whom seed was sown on rocky ground, who,

when they hear the word, immediately receive it with joy [but accept it only superficially]; 17 and they have no real root in themselves,

so they endure only for a little while; then, when trouble or persecution comes because of the word, immediately they [are offended and displeased at being associated with Me and] stumble and fall away.

18 And others are the ones on whom seed was sown among the thorns; these are the ones

who have heard the word, 19 but the worries and cares of the world [the distractions of this age with its worldly pleasures],

ya gotta love the prosperity gospel

and the deceitfulness [and the false security or glamour] of wealth [or fame], and the passionate desires for all the other things creep in and choke out the word, and it becomes unfruitful.

20 And those [in the last group] are the ones on whom seed was sown on the good soil; and they hear the word [of God, the good news regarding the way of salvation] and accept it and

bear fruit—thirty, sixty, and a hundred times as much [as was sown].”

Then in verse 24 Then He said to them, “Pay attention to what you hear.

By …your own… standard of measurement …[that is, to the extent that …you… study spiritual truth ….and apply godly wisdom]……. it will be measured.. to you.

[and you will be given even greater ability to respond]—and

more will be given to you besides. 25 For [b]whoever has [a teachable heart],….. to him more………. [understanding] will be given; and whoever does not have [a yearning for truth],……. even what he has will be taken away from him.”

Amazing truth, by….your own standard of measurement.….your own standard that you WHAT?

STUDY SPIRITUAL TRUTH AND APPLY GODLY WISDOM

HOW MUCH TIME AND EFFORT DO I GIVE TO STUDYING SPIRITUAL TRUTH AND APPLYING GODLY WISDOM……….THAT IS EXACTLY HOW MUCH FRUIT WILL BE BROUGHT FORTH FROM THE SEED (WORD) THAT WAS SOWN.

It has always amazed me that in Christendom they always say, ITS NOT A RELIGION, ITS A RELATIONSHIP. And its true, Christianity (true Christianity) is NOT A RELIGION (mans attempt to reach GOD) but it is  A RELATIONSHIP.

What has always amazed me is…..if its a relationship… WHY IS THERE SO LITTLE IF ANY TIME SPENT ON THAT RELATIONSHIP?

I find that most Christians do not spend any quality quite time with GOD at all. Why? because their to busy, and yet this is the most important relationship they will ever have.

If a man spent as little time in his relationship with his wife as he does with GOD, pretty soon he will have no wife, she will think he has no time for me, doesn’t want to be with me, never talks to me, and is not interested in me.

this is so sad but many relationships will go bad because of just this

One time I was reluctantly Pastoring for a friend of mine that had a stroke and could not talk well. One Wednesday night service I ask the people (about 30 or so) if they had ever worshiped for 1 hour straight? The answer was never, so I said well tonight we will do just that.

I put on a very anointed worship CD that went for a little over 1 hour, after about 15 minutes they were a little restless as this was about their limit of worship and the flesh hates when we worship or when we spend time in His presence.

After 30 minutes the sweet presence of the Holy Spirit began to increase in that room and they were beginning to inter into that presence of GOD, after 45 minutes the flesh was now gone and they were beginning to be lost in that presence.

After 60 minutes they were so immersed into the presence of GOD I am not sure they even knew what time it was or even cared…..because they were in the presence of GOD ALMIGHTY, BEING REFRESHED, RESTORED, AND REFILLED WITH THE LIFE GIVING POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT.

When we were finished I asked them, how was that? they just looked at me with a blank stare and then someone said…WONDERFUL.

And yet so few believers have ever experienced anything like that, let alone just being still in HIS presence not asking for anything, not saying anything, just waiting on Him in His presence for hours at a time….this is where all TRUE SPIRITUALITY COMES FROM.

Jesus only did what He saw the Father doing, and He only said what He heard the Father saying……..WHERE DID JESUS SEE WHAT THE FATHER WAS DOING AND HEAR WHAT THE FATHER WAS SAYING?

WHEN HE WAS ALONE WITH GOD

The reason so much of what is said and done in the name of GOD today  does not work very well is.

WHAT IS BEING SAID…. WAS NOT HEARD FROM TIME WITH GOD ALONE….AND WHAT IS BEING DONE WAS NOT SEEN IN THE TIME WITH GOD ALONE.

ITS JUST…GOOD IDEAS…INSTEAD OF GOD IDEAS.

There is nothing your flesh hates, despises, and will do anything to get out of more than.

BEING STILL AND WAITING IN GODS PRESENCE

The flesh wants to be always doing, saying, and active, ALL THE TIME AND NEVER LET YOU BE STILL IN HIS PRESENCE.

If you don’t believe me, just get alone and in a still place and just wait on GOD, after 10 minutes your flesh will tell you..WHAT ARE YOU DOING? WHY ARE YOU WASTING TIME? YOU NEED TO MOW THE LAWN, WASH THE CAR, CUT YOUR TOE NAILS.

IF YOU MAKE IT FOR 30 MINUTES YOUR FLESH WILL B SCREAMING FOR YOU TO CHECK YOUR PHONE, GET SOMETHING TO DRINK, WATCH TV.

IF YOU MAKE IT 1 HOUR THE FLESH WILL BEGIN TO GO AWAY AS THE SPIRIT GETS MORE AND MORE REAL, AND FROM THEN ON THE SPIRIT WILL ONLY GET STRONGER AND YOU WILL EXPERIENCE WHAT FEW BELIEVERS HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED……RENEWED STRENGTH….MOUNTING UP WITH WINGS AS EAGLES…RUN AND NOT BE WEARY…WALK AND NOT FAINT.

THIS IS FOR THOSE (NOT ALL) BUT… THOSE.…WHO WILL…..WILL WHAT?

WILL WAIT UPON THE LORD.
