I just want to encourage believers today as the world gets crazier and crazier and bring some TRUTH, INTO THE PICTURE.

First of all, the word says, WE WALK BY FAITH AND NOT BY SIGHT (NATURAL)

It also says, to NOT LOOK AT THE THINGS THAT ARE SEEN (NATURAL) BUT THE THINGS (SPIRITUAL) , THAT ARE NOT SEEN (IN THE NATURAL)

Also set your affections ON THINGS ABOVE (SPIRITUAL), NOT ON THE THINGS OF THIS EARTH

ALSO WE AS BELIEVERS ARE…..PILGRIMS…….ALIENS……AND STRANGERS ON THIS EARTH

its just a place for our born again spirit to grow into maturity and then enter into that dimension of Spirit world at the end of the physical life here.

THE DIRECTOR OF TRAINING

I will give one personal example that might help someone.

I was working at a driving school for semi-trucks, the BIG rigs, my title was driving instructor, but that also included yard work (backing the truck and trailer into a small parking place) because it is of no value if you can drive all the way across the USA but can not BACK INTO THE UNLOADING DOCK.

It also included teaching in the classroom, and of course on the highway in real traffic situations (many people thought I was crazy for doing this kind of job (some days I did to ).

One day the director of training called me into his office and said, I have to go into the hospital next month for back surgery and I am not sure if or when I will B back, so the owner said to make you the new director of training.

I said, AH no thanks I could never do that job, He said, so you will start with the new class in 2 weeks….I said, perhaps you didn’t hear me….NO THANKS. He called the owner and said I did not want to do that job but just stay as driving instructor. He then informed me that I was going to B the director of training or else not have a job.

I just could not believe it, I was going to have to move up to the director of training position and I had no clue of how to do that job, and besides I was very comfortable where I was. (I hate it when this happens).

Well I fought with this new IDENTITY and could not seem to accept it over the next 2 weeks. I wasn’t a director of training ….. I WAS DRIVING INSTRUCTOR.#%&&)&%$@(

A few days before the new class would start, the old director of training brought me a brand new blue company jacket….and it said LARRY BECK and under that it said.

OMW HOW CAN THIS BE HAPPENING TO ME, BUT IT WAS….in 2 short days the new class would start, and I would B introduced as the DIRECTOR OF TRAINING.

I was left alone in my new office, with my new jacket, and my head spinning, then a kind of amazing thing happened.

I WENT INTO THE BATHROOM IN FRONT OF THE MIRROR

I SAID:)….. I WOULD LIKE TO INTRODUCE TO YOU THE DIRECTOR OF TRAINING

WHEN I SAID THOSE WORDS, I SOMEHOW TOOK ON MY NEW IDENTITY AND ACCEPTED THAT NEW IDENTITY AND FROM THEN ON I WAS THE DIRECTOR OF TRAINING, THAT’S WHO I WAS.

Amazingly enough it was the easiest job I ever had, just accepting it was the hardest thing to do.

We have a new IDENTITY IN CHRIST and its our responsibility to learn what that is and PUT ON CHRIST, AND ACCEPT THAT NEW IDENTITY………that IN TRUTH IS.

The hardest part is just accepting my NEW IDENTITY IN CHRIST, ITS NOT BECAUSE YOUR SO GOOD OR HOLY OR ANYTHING ELSE YOU COULD DO.

ITS JUST BECAUSE OF THE GRACE AND LOVE GOD GOD TOWARDS US THAT WE COULD B SO MUCH…..IN CHRIST,… WE R THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD …. IN CHRIST, AND SO MANY MORE THINGS.

Putting on that blue jacket that day changed my life, putting on Christ will change your forever.

YOU ARE WHO GOD SAYS YOU ARE, EVEN IF YOU HAVEN’T BELIEVED IT, OR ACCEPTED IT YET…ITS STILL WHO YOU ARE TO HIM, AND WHEN YOU DO ACCEPT THAT…YOUR LIFE WILL BEGIN TO MOVE UP TO THAT LEVEL OF NEW IDENTITY IN HIM.

MISSION IMPOSSIBLE PT 2

Now the real transformation begins in the life of Gideon, He has been told by the Angel that He is a MIGHTY MAN OF VALOR, and HE WILL DEFEAT THE ENEMY AS 1 MAN.

Gideon was wondering WHY, IF GOD WAS WITH THEM THEY WERE HAVING ALL THIS TROUBLE, and the Prophet that GOD had sent told them why.

 that the Lord sent a prophet to the Israelites, and he said to them, “Thus says the Lord, the God of Israel, ‘I brought you up from Egypt and brought you out of the house of slavery. 9 And I rescued you from the hand of the Egyptians and from the hand of all who oppressed you, and drove them out before you and gave you their land, 10 and I said to you, “I am the Lord your God; you shall not fear the gods of the Amorites in whose land you live.” But you have not listened to and obeyed My voice.’”

This is usually the problem in all of our lives at different times, WE HAVE NOT LISTENED TO AND OBEYED GODS VOICE.

14 The Lord turned to him and said, “Go in this strength of yours and save Israel from the hand of Midian. Have I not sent you?” 15 But Gideon said to Him, “Please Lord, how am I to rescue Israel? Behold, my family is the least [significant] in Manasseh, and I am the youngest (smallest) in my father’s house.” 16 The Lord answered him, “I will certainly be with you, and you will strike down the Midianites as [if they were only] one man.”

Now the excuses start….HOW can I rescue Israel????

My family is THE LEAST in all of Manasseh!!!!!!

And not only that I AM THE YOUNGEST AND SMALLEST IN MY HOUSE!!!!!!

Now surely Gideon thought that the Angel would have come to His senses after these startling revelations and said:) OH MY WORD, I MUST HAVE THE WRONG GUY, I AM SO SO SORRY, YOU ARE JUST NOT FIT FOR THIS ASSIGNMENT AT ALL, PLEASE JUST GO BACK TO HIDING IN THE WINE PRESS, I HAD NO CLUE YOUR FAMILY WAS THE LEAST, AND YOU ARE THE SMALLEST AND YOUNGEST OF THE LEAST FAMILY IN ALL THE LAND.

No….the Angel says….“I will certainly be with you, and you will strike down the Midianites as [if they were only] one man.”

Then Gideon offered a sacrifice and it was consumed, then He tore down the alter of Baal, and then another very significant thing happens in this journey of transformation.

 So the Spirit of the Lord [f]clothed Gideon [and empowered him]; and he blew a trumpet, and the Abiezrites were called together [as a militia] to follow him. 35 He sent messengers throughout [the tribe of] Manasseh, and the fighting men were also called together to follow him; and he sent messengers to [the tribes of] Asher, Zebulun, and Naphtali, and they came up to meet them.

THERE WILL NEVER EVER BE A VICTORY IF WE ARE NOT…EMPOWERED BY THE HOLY SPIRIT.

But Gideon was not yet fully sure so he put out the fleece, and GOD proved Himself yet again to Gideon, and yet GOD said if you are still not convinced go down to the enemy’s tent and listen to what they are saying.

Finally Gideon is 100% sure of the victory and Him and the 300 deliver Israel for the enemy and there was peace in the land for 40 years (40 is the number of probation).

Gideon thru this process of GOD turns Gideon from…. hiding to HERO,……. it is an amazing story of transformation and GOD is working the transformation in our lives also as I am writing this.

I am Larry…..NO THAT’S MY NAME

I am a carpenter, contractor, pilot, Instructor, etc,etc, NO THAT’S MY JOB

I am a father, brother, husband, son, NO THOSE ARE MY FAMILY TIES

I am a golfer, tennis player, football fan, stamp collector, bowler, NO THOSE ARE HOBBIES

I AM A CHILD OF GOD FIRST AND FOREMOST, AND MY TOTAL IDENTITY IS IN

CHRIST

As far as this world is concerned…YOU…ARE…DEAD

AND YOUR LIFE IS HID WITH CHRIST IN GOD
