HELLO AND WELCOME TO ANOTHER EDITION OF

ACTS 29 TODAY (NOW ITS YOUR TURN)

I will return to CLING ON’S AND OTHER THINGS, BUT I JUST WANTED TO SHARE THIS AS IT IS SO IMPORTANT.

We probably talk about the cross the most when it comes to what Jesus did, and then we talk about the Resurrection some but not to much, even tho without it the cross would mean nothing.

It seems the real victory was won in the garden of Gethsemane (the place of crushing) because it was here THE BATTLE OF THE MIND WAS WON. We talk a lot about the battle field is N the mind, because that is where we make decisions, yes, no, or maybe. The mind is where the battle between flesh and Spirit also takes place as the enemy puts thoughts there and the word of God also speaks to us.

Now the decision is N our court, the flesh, or the Spirit, it is always these 2 that R Waring for our decisions. One day the Holy Spirit said to me “WHATEVER YOU FEED THE MOST WILL GROW THE STRONGEST AND LAST THE LONGEST.

Battles and eventually wars are won or lost by decisions that where made well before the battle was begun. We tend to focus more on the final outcome than the decisions that got that result, BUT the decisions that R made, R the most important of all, because those decisions will eventually B the outcome of the entire war.

When the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor they made a few decisions that would prove costly mistakes later on. (first bad decision was of course attacking America) here R the 3 mistakes that cost them heavily.

Mistake number one: the Japanese attacked on Sunday morning. Nine out of every ten crewmen of those ships were ashore on leave. If those same ships had been lured to sea and been sunk–we would have lost 38,000 men instead of 3,800.

Mistake number two: when the Japanese saw all those battleships lined in a row, they got so carried away sinking those battleships, they never once bombed our dry docks opposite those ships.  If they had destroyed our dry docks, we would have had to tow everyone of those ships to America to be repaired. As it is now, the ships are in shallow water and can be raised. One tug can pull them over to the dry docks, and we can have them repaired and at sea by the time we could have towed them to America. And I already have crews ashore anxious to man those ships.

Mistake number three: every drop of fuel in the Pacific theater of war is in top of the ground storage tanks five miles away over that hill. One attack plane could have strafed those tanks and destroyed our fuel supply. That’s why I say the Japanese made three of the biggest mistakes an attack force could make or God was taking care of America.

The war Jesus was N was the biggest one ever fought (making salvation available to whosoever will) and the VICTORY FOR THAT WAR WAS WON N THE GARDEN.

N the Gospels its recorded that Jesus prayed these words, not once, not twice, but 3 times. O FATHER, IF IT BE POSSIBLE, LET THIS CUP PASS FROM ME: NEVERTHELESS …………….NOT AS I WILL, BUT AS YOU WILL……………………………………………………

THESE WORDS HE PRAYED 3 TIMES, NOT AS I WILL, BUT AS YOU WILL, AND THIS DECISION TO SUBMIT AND B OBEDIENT TO HIS FATHERS WILL WOULD PROVE TO B THE DECISION THAT WOULD WIN THE WAR, AND BRING SALVATION TO THE WORLD. Because it led to the cross, burial, and the resurrection.

That decision N the garden was the VICTORY, at the cross it was FINISHED, and at the resurrection was the CELEBRATION, EVERYTHING WAS ON THAT DECISION.

Our victory will come the same way. NOT MY WILL FATHER, BUT YOURS B DONE.

I know all to well we don’t always respond that way,(HOW WELL I KNOW) but that is the goal AND IT IS OFTEN MADE IN THAT PLACE OF CRUSHING N OUR OWN LIVES.

Across from the garden of crushing (olives R crushed to get the oil out) is where they sell the oil for the lamps, and this is where the 5 wise virgins would have bought their EXTRA OIL. The EXTRA OIL COMES AT A HIGH PRICE….THE LAYING DOWN AND THE DEATH OF OUR OWN WAY TO SUBMIT TO HIS WAY, NOT MY WILL, BUT THINE B DONE…..THIS IS WISDOM AND IT GOT THE 5 WISE THRU THE DARKNESS AND INTO THE MARRIAGE SUPPER, ITS ALL ABOUT PREPARATION AND KNOWING WHAT IS COMING.

MY PRAYER IS WE ALL PAY THE PRICE FOR THE EXTRA OIL, BECAUSE WE R GOING TO NEED IT.
