Hello and welcome to another edition of ACTS 29 TODAY. (now its your turn)
Well this a little detour from my main subject this time, but I get questions about this from people and so I feel the need to address it, so it will be posted in ACTS 29 TODAY.
Its the question about WHY DO THE PROSPERITY PREACHERS PROSPER …BUT I / WE / THE PEOPLE WHO ARE GIVING TO THEM…DON’T.
Now this is a very big subject and all I am going to do here is tell you what He the Holy Spirit told me about it, as I wondered about it for a long time to. Now having been in the movement myself and have preached the message myself back in the day (some 30 yrs ago I suppose) and people would put 100$ bills in my shirt pocket on my way out after preaching an extraordinary moving prosperity message…LOL.
Several things happened that moved me away completely from that message, one day the Holy Spirit said to me (inward voice) if you would use your faith to believe me for a greater love walk, instead of for a Lear jet and new car you would be way better off.
On another occasion He said, yes you can build and gather a huge gathering of people on your PERSONALITY ALONE….AND MANY ARE DOING JUST THAT….IS THAT WHAT YOU WANT TO DO??? OR DO YOU WANT TO HAVE A SPIRIT LED AND SPIRIT EMPOWERED LIFE AND REALLY HELP OTHERS.
Then as I studied the new testament and the life of Jesus IT JUST ISN’T THERE , and yes I no all of the arguments about it…BUT NONE OF THEM HOLD WATER…our great example JESUS never lived or taught anything close to what people have made it into today. OR PAUL or any of the rest of the Apostles.
So without any further ado…several years ago my wife and I were driving down a lonely stretch of out in the middle of nowhere highway in Utah and we were talking about the GMO…genetically modified organism. This is where man takes a seed and modify s it (make it better) so they think, and it will produce faster or have things put in it to make it grow bigger, and on and on. The only problem is when they mess with the natural seed and ADD or TAKE AWAY FROM IT.
IT WILL NOT REPRODUCE….SO GUESS WHAT? YES THAT’S RIGHT, THEY HAVE TO COME BACK THE NEXT YEAR AND BUY MORE SEED FROM THE ONES WHO MODIFIED IT IN THE FIRST PLACE.
BECAUSE IT WILL ONLY PRODUCE …ONE…HARVEST.
As we were talking it occurred to us that is exactly what has happened in the prosperity (give me your money) message.
The prosperity preacher has MODIFIED THE SEED (THE WORD) CHANGED IT A LITTLE BIT FOR HIS OWN ADVANTAGE (PROMISING THAT IF YOU GIVE TO HIM, good soil, THEN GOD WILL BLESS YOU BACK 100 FOLD)
We believed him and gave our money to him, OUR SO CALLED SEED (nothing in the bible about money being seed…that came from man) and because the true seed has been modified…NOW IT CAN ONLY PRODUCE …ONE…YES ONE…HARVEST, AND GUESS WHO GETS THAT ONE HARVEST….YES YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY RIGHT…..THE PROSPERITY PREACHER WHO MODIFIED THE SEED.
So he prospers abundantly and the people who give to him do not, because the seed (the word of GOD) has been changed from the truth and now has mixture in it of error and cannot reproduce.
So that’s why they tell you when you don’t get anything back…don’t give up, your harvest is just around the corner, don’t let the devil steal you harvest, in fact make the devil mad and give twice as much today, and blah, blah, blah.
Been there done that and have the t-shirt…lets wake up and smell the Jasmine tea folks, if these people are living luxurious rich and famous life styles I don’t even go near them and for sure can not support their jets and mansions and Bentley.
So in a nutshell that word from the Holy Spirit answered that question for me once and for all. Now this not only applies to the prosperity mess, but to all other aspects of the word also.
The true word of GOD (the seed) when planted (falls into the ground and dies) will bring forth fruit (and it grows we no not how) after its own kind. But if man changes the word for his own benefit or whatever reason IT WILL NOT REPRODUCE, and that’s why we are in the mess we are in today…THE TRADITIONS OF MAN…HAVE MADE THE WORD OF GOD TO NO EFFECT.
THE GOOD NEWS, MORE AND MORE PEOPLE ARE FINDING OUT THE TRUTH…..AND THE TRUTH IS SETTING THEM/US/YOU/ AND ME……FREE.
AND HE (THE HOLY SPIRIT) WILL LEAD AND GUIDE YOU INTO….ALL.…THE TRUTH.
